Floral Banquet: A Unique Wedding Gift Box Design

Unveiling the Symbolism of Love and Romance

Floral Banquet, designed by Su Wan Ling, captures the essence of love and romance in a beautifully crafted wedding gift box. Each sleeve of the wooden box represents a different phase of love, making it a truly unique and meaningful gift.

The inspiration for the Floral Banquet design came from the idea of illustrating the different stages of love. Su Wan Ling, the designer, explains that the smaller sleeve, with a delightful pink background, symbolizes the warm and cute love buds between two people when they first meet. The middle-sized sleeve, in green, represents the growing strength of the relationship, like a plant. Finally, the large wooden box with a pure white background signifies the purity and eternity that a white veil represents in a wedding.

What sets the Floral Banquet design apart is its focus on elegance and cuteness. Aunt Stella, the brand behind the design, targeted the wedding gifting market with this floral series. Each sleeve of the wooden box symbolizes a different aspect of love and romance. The pink sleeve, adorned with plumeria, represents the first love and delivers bashful and delightful wishes for a relationship. The green sleeve, featuring lively ghost plants and feathers, symbolizes the eternity of love. The white sleeve, with its surrounding roses and floral illustrations, represents the pureness of love and the beauty of a wedding dress.

The realization of the Floral Banquet design involved careful material selection and dimension design. Natural pine wood was chosen for its unique wood grain, symbolizing the uniqueness of every couple's romantic story. The dimensions of the sleeves and boxes were meticulously designed to create a perfect fit, with a golden 1 sleeve to 2 box ratio. The addition of a ribbon bow at the end adds a touch of love and warmth to the design.

The specifications of the Floral Banquet design are as follows: the pink sleeve measures 160 x 160 x 60mm, the green sleeve measures 235 x 235 x 70mm, and the white sleeve measures 265 x 265 x 70mm.

Despite the challenges faced during the design process, such as managing the consistency of the grinding size for the wooden box sleeves and finding the best dimension design, Aunt Stella successfully created a design that captures the essence of love and romance.

The Floral Banquet design project started in June 2018 and was completed in August 2018 in Taipei. It is a testament to the creativity and dedication of the design team.

Floral Banquet has received recognition for its exceptional design. It was awarded the Iron A' Packaging Design Award in 2020. This prestigious award is given to designs that are well-designed, practical, and innovative, meeting professional and industrial requirements. The Floral Banquet design stands out for its integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings, contributing to a better world.

With its symbolism, elegance, and attention to detail, Floral Banquet is a truly special wedding gift box design that captures the essence of love and romance.
